Change extension settings

This document explains the different ways you can transform Bash, CSS, and HTML code blocks to get Quick Info for each attribute of a CLI command, a CSS property, or an HTML element.


Install and log in to the browser extension

  • Get started with extension

Open the extension options

  1. In the top right corner of your Chrome browser, click the puzzle piece icon to view a list of extensions installed for your browser.
  2. Click the pushpin next to Kmdr. The pushpin will turn blue and the Kmdr icon will be pinned to the top of your browser.
  3. Click on the Kmdr icon.

Default settings

The following options will be available for you to change.

Detect code blocks on hostname Kmdr will scan the webpage locally to detect Bash, HTML, and CSS code blocks. If detected, Kmdr will show an Explain button in the top right corner of the code block. Kmdr will replace a detected code block with interactive Kmdr code blocks when you click Explain


Turn options on or off

Click on the toggle to the right of the option you would like to turn on or off.
